Florence Onyebuchi Emecheta was born on 21 July 1944, in Lagos, Nigeria, to Igbo parents, Alice (Okwuekwuhe) Emecheta and Jeremy Nwabudike.  Her father was a railway worker and moulder.

Due to the gender bias of the time, the young Buchi was initially kept at home while her younger brother was sent to school; but after persuading her parents to consider the benefits of her education, she spent her early childhood at an all-girl's missionary school.

My name is Chidimma Chukwuma, a  2011 graduate of Microbiology and Biotechnology. I live in Enugu, South East Nigeria.

I love seeing women dress beautifully with wonderful makeup that brings out the brightness of their inner being.  I appreciate the art of twisting, pulling and tying that make a head gear which compliments the woman’s grace.

My name is Ijeoma Ruth Chiedo but my friends call me Flair. I am studying Mass Communication at the Babcock University.

I love music; dancing and listening, please don’t tell me to sing or I should not be held responsible for the consequence.

I like people who are real and friendly. I am not sure how I will deal with pressure until I am confronted with a situation. But largely it depends on other factors.

As a sketch artist, I am looking forward to being a big-time designer and TV host. You can do yourself a whole lot of good by watching out for me.

My name is Jennifer Abadaike Omontese.  Call me Obama's ex-wife and Aisha Buhari's lost sister if you like, I am a proud daughter of Ubiaja, Edo State.

I always mean what I say but I don't say it mean, that's why I want to be a presenter whom everyone can freely converse with.

Sometimes I wonder what my strengths are but of a truth I believe in myself, could deal with naughty issues without losing a sleep and I love hair, yes my hair or those from… (fill the space please).

My name is Christabel Ode. I hail from the beautiful state of Benue. I am a final year student studying Mass Communication in Babcock University. I love meeting new people, so my interpersonal communication skill is my greatest asset.
“Nothing will walk to you, you have to reach out and take it” these are the words I live by.
I have found little exposure in one of the popular TV stations in Lagos and I am now convinced more than ever before that “It is in me”
In a few years, I hope to own a publishing house and even host my own TV program.

Did you know that a motion for ''self rule'' was moved by Anthony Enahoro in the Federal House in 1953 which proposed that we should have our independence in 1956. Unfortunately it was rejected by Parliament and it therefore failed.
