A senir civil servant in the Kogi state service, Edward Soje has ben reported dead days after he was declared missing.

Soje, 54 who was a director in the Kogi state civil service was found hanging from a tree in Lokoja.The director had allegedly taken his own life due to financial woes as a result of unpaid salaries by the Kogi state government.

The late Director's death is coming 10 days after his wife gave birth to a set of male triplets in Abuja after almost two decades of childlessness.Soje was said to have travelled to Abuja earlier to leave a suicide note for his wife who delivered the triplets through a Caesarian section that made him sell his car and uncompleted building.

The suicide note read "Psalm 121:3 says God will not suffer your foot to be moved. He that keepeth you will not slumber. Amen. You and the three boys, God Almighty will keep you prosperous. Amen. I love you."

The state Police Command confirmed his death as he Police Public Relations Officer, Willian Aya stated that his body was found on a tree behind a barracks.

Soje was a Grade Level 16 Officer in the Kogi state teaching Service Commission and was among those who were owed between 2 and 21 months salaries. 

He was last seen when he was with his wife and some pastor's in the hospital during a brief naming ceremony for the tripplets. He had left the hospital with a promise to return after picking a few things from thw wife's apartment in Abuja.
