The Anambra state government has directed pupils and students to remain at home until the 1st of February.

A directive signed by the state commissioner for basic education, Prof. Kate Omenugha, said that teachers and administrators will however resume fully on the 18th of January.

This is part of the resolutions reached at the state executive meeting today.

The two weeks interval will enable the authorities in respective schools to ensure that all measures that will enable full compliance with the covid-19 protocol are established before the students return.

Students in boarding schools are advised to prepare adequately while returning as visitors will not be allowed in the school.
