13 students of Delta State University (DELSU) Abraka have been expelled for exam malpractices and 5 others sent on indefinite suspension for gross misconducts.
The Vice Chanellor of the school, Prof. Victor Peretemode, during the school’s matriculation ceremony earlier in the year warned the students against exam malpractices, stressing that any student caught cheating during exams, will be expelled. Speaking to journalists in Abraka, he said the students admitted their involvement in shady examination deals when brought before the ethics and disciplinary committee of the school.
He also said that the five other students suspended indefinitely will have to write letters of apology and undertaking at the security unit and will also visit the counseling center of the school.
