Success they say has many friends while failure is an orphan. This statement better describes reactions trailing the emergence of Miss Unoaku Anyadike as the most beautiful girl in Nigeria, 2015, on Saturday.

Anambra state government, through a media aide to the Governor Willie Obiano, recognising her as a "daughter of the soil," highlighted Miss Anyadike's comments during the beauty pageant that she will collaborate with the state government in tackling environmental challenges facing the state.

The media aide, Emeka Osumba also said the state will support the girl who made it proud in realising her dream as a beauty queen.

An online publisher, (was not permitted to name) pulled out another interesting slant;  Her mother is from Osun State making her of a mixed ethnic background. Unoaku's middle name is Temitope and her family lives in Osun state.

Her father is a Professor at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and her mother, a proprietor of a private school in Ife too. Perhaps the most interesting part is that Unoaku's favourite meal is Amala and  Ewedu.

The claims and assertions may not be out of place since she has become an instant celebrity. In fact, the world will certainly be a better place when everyone seek those things that unify and ignore those that make the gullies bigger.
