Miss Imo, Anita Ukah beat 36 other contestants to win the most beautiful girl in Nigeria (MBGN) which was held in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State on Friday September 21.

The pageant was contested by 37 contestants representing the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Teritory Abuja.

Despite what came out as a poor quality production and mix ups during the sho, the winner emerged. Anita is not new to such contest as she won Miss Igbinedion University, 2014.

The outgoing queen, Ugochi Ihezue in her speech, used the opportunity to thank the organisers for the privilege of representing the country in the Miss World Pageant.

This is the 31st edition of the beauty pageant organised by Silverbird Group, promoted by Senator Ben Murray-Bruce
