Ex-BBNaija housemate, Khafi Kareem, says she has been asked to resume work at the London Metropolitan police in the United Kingdom where she was an officer before participating in Big Brother Naija 2019.

Khafi returned to the UK last week, UK Mirror has reported.

The medium reports that, in her first interview following a meeting with her superior officers, “PC Kareem confirmed she will be going back on the beat.”

She was reported to have said: “Work has been really great, we’ve been speaking and communicating, they asked me when I’d be coming back to work.

“I’m not sure when I’m going to go back yet — I want to get back as soon as possible, I’m passionate about keeping London safer.”

Kareem, 29, had appeared in publicity pictures alongside Met Commissioner Cressida Dick celebrating female recruitment.

But she caused outrage among senior officers by appearing on the African version of the reality TV show without permission.

Following her entry into the house in June this year, the Met issued a bruising statement confirming Kareem had asked for permission to appear on the show but was denied and that she had chosen to accept a place in the house “without authority.”

Meanwhile, Khafi marks her 30th birthday today, with fellow housemate, Tacha, Frood, celebrating and wishing her well.

Gedoni also sent her a loving birthday message with a video collage of photos of the two of them at different moments, especially during their time in BBNaija house.

He wrote: “The best gifts in life are those we find in unexpected places, when we aren’t looking.

It was no mistake when the Bible described humans as “treasures in earthen vessels”, because I’ve found one in you – Precious, valuable, lovable and with a heart so pure.

“Your innocence is beautiful, your smile brightens my world and your entire personality? Simply delightful.

I went into BBNaija for something I thought I wanted, and came out with someone I needed (a partner, a support system, a friend, a sister; everything I didn’t even know I needed).

On this special day; I just want to say I love you dearly @acupofkhafi and I cherish what we share.
Love you longggggggggggg @acupofkhafi”
