
Nigeria has recorded 1,301 new cases of the novel Coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 113,305.
Announcing the new figures in a late night tweet on Tuesday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC), disclosed that the country also recorded 15 COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours under review.
The Health Agency the new cases were reported from 22 states including the Federal apital Territory FCT.
According to the NCDC, of the new cases, 551 were recorded in Lagos, 209 in FCT, 83 in Oyo, 65 in Plateau and 64 in Kaduna state.
Other states with new cases include, Enugu-61 Rivers-44 Ondo-39 Benue-37 Akwa Ibom-31 Kano-19 Delta-18 Gombe-18 Ogun-16 Edo-15 Kebbi-10 Ebonyi-9 Jigawa-4 Osun-3 Zamfara-3 Borno-1 Nasarawa-1.
NCDC said till date, 113,305 cases have been confirmed, 91,200 treated and discharged and 1464 deaths recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
NCDC said that a multi-sectoral national Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, was coordinating response activities nationwide.
