Anambra Government has confirmed that a nursing student was killed by Lassa Fever, while sixty five others were being monitored. 

The Director of Public Health, State Ministry of Health, Emmanuel Okafor told newsmen in Awka that the deceased was a student in one private nursing school in Nkpor area of the state. 

Doctor Okafor said that the lady was admitted at a hospital in the state before being transferred to the General Hospital, Irua, in Edo for diagnosis where she died.

While urging residents on hygiene, the medical officer said tracking other suspects in order to ensure they do not transfer it to friends and family.
