Chairman of the senate ad hoc committee investigating the reinstatement of Abdulrasheed Maina, has taken off the lid on a fresh allegation surrounding activities of the pension reform task force led by Maina.

Senator Emmanuel Paulker said that  222 houses recovered from a pension probe has been shared.

That was part of what he told the senate on Thursday as one of the reasons why there is need to investigate the “mystery” surrounding the recovered property which the Presidential Task Force on Pension reform formerly headed by Maina.

The latest Bar Final Examination has shown that the University of Lagos, University of Nigeria, Nsukka and Obafemi Awolowo University are the best in producing law graduates. 

The Bar Final Examination is the last test conducted for students of the Nigerian Law School before they enrolled as qualified lawyers.

This position was contained in the analysis of performance by universities in the August 2017 Bar final examination results of the Nigerian Law School.

While six students at the UNILAG emerged with First Class honours, four emerged from UNN and three from OAU.

A member of the popular Ogungbe family, Kenny Saint Best was known as Kenny Saint Brown before the collapse of her marriage.

Wife of late gospel singer, Eric Arubayi, made a post today, Thursday, to remember what would have been their traditional wedding anniversary.

In 2007, Eric came out as  the third runner-up on singing reality TV show – West African Idol.  Popular musician, Timi Dakolo was the winner of that edition, and Omawumi also competed.

In its determination to ensure free flow of traffic and safety on the road, the Lagos State Government on Wednesday commenced the process of clearing Apapa-Mile 2 axis of illegal parking of tankers and articulated vehicles.

This action, the Government said is aimed at freeing Apapa - Oshodi Expressway of avoidable traffic gridlocks, and making the axis accessible to other road users.

The Senate has announced that it would probe alleged feud among Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Department of State Services and National Intelligence Agency over operational issues.

The face-off was said to have stemmed from EFCC’s attempted arrest of former directors-general of DSS, Ita Ekpeyong and NIA's, Ayodele Oke.

The senate said it would set up an ad hoc committee to investigate the matter within two weeks.

The West African Examinations Council has announced the release of the October/November 2017 WASSCE results for private candidates. 

A total of 34,664 candidates obtained credits in five subjects and above including English Language and Mathematics.

The figure represents 26.01% of the 133,223 candidates that sat for the examinations in Nigeria reflecting the worst result in three years. The percentage of candidates in this category in the WASSCE for private candidates in 2015 and 2016 was 28.59% and 38.50%, respectively.

The Nigerian Army has inroduced a new language policy for its officers and men, directing them to learn and be proficient in Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba by the end of 2018. 

This directive was made known in a statement by army spokesperson Brigadier General Sani Usman.

Multiple reports indicate that a marshal of the FederalRoad Safety Corps (FRSC) has been reportedly killed on the Abuja-Kaduna highway.

According to sources who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the attack on the FRSC officials occurred on the Sabo-Wuse axis of the highwayearly Tuesday morning.

The FRSC Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem confirmed the death of the official to the News Agency of Nigeria, stating that two other officials were abducted by the unknown gunmen.
