Member of the House of Representatives, Afam Ogene may be having his path towards returning to the legislative house next year dimmed by the interest declared by the Speaker of the Anambra state house of assembly, Chinwe Nwebili.

Both are from the Ogbaru federal constituency of Anambra state.

Honourable Ogene was one of the legislators reported to have decamped from APGA to the PDP last month. And now, he seems to have retraced his steps and is longing to continue representing his people.

Ongoing campaign to force Nigerians and indeed the international community to accept that the #bringbackourgirls agitation is political and aimed at embarrassing the federal government is not just unfortunate but wicked. The promo running on almost all TV stations in the country pointing out two members of the APC among the bring back our girls campaigners leaves a deep soar taste in the mouth of many Nigerians. It simply trivialized the sad tale that a “group of ragtag miscreants” could take on the giant of Africa, depriving its people of sleep and liberty.

Whether or not Charles Odedo will seek to return to the House of Representatives is no longer an issue of speculation.

The member of the house representing Idemili federal constituency said that by the end of May 2015, he would have spent six years and ten months in the House of Representatives which will be less than two tenures of eight years.

“So ideally, I am going to contest the 2015 election so that I can convincingly say that I completed two tenures in the National Assembly”, he noted

From Uzonna Ononye

The dust is now gradually settling over the purported shut down of one of the most popular blogs in Nigeria. While the controversy lasted, not a few people attacked Google for being “unfair” in bringing down a thriving site over “mere allegations”. A lot others literally tore the certain Aye Dee into shreds for acting out of jealousy and envy for the young lady. Some others simply sighed, “it serves her right. Was she not the one showing off her new cars and the house she built for her father on her blog? It hasn’t even started, more will come.”
