Truly asNigerians, it  is our sincere hope that the dark political clouds over Nigeria will soon dissipate through a proper understanding and sacrificial conducts on the part of majority of our political leaders in the next few months if the following reasons below can be shared.

There is apprehension among some stakeholders in the business of governance in Umuahia, the Abia State capital. The anxiety was that anybody that would be elected in 2015 to take over from the incumbent governor of the state, Chief Theodore Orji, should not throw in the towel from where the governor would stop.

The inter-denominational conflicts that marred the eight year reign of former Governor Peter Obi of Anambra state to the extent that Mr. Obi was severally accused of bias against other Christian denominations in favour of the Roman Catholics may be spilling over to the current dispensation under Mr. Willie Obiano.

Son of Abia state governor, Engr. Chinedum Orji has sued The Sun Newspaper for N5bn over a publication in the daily in March 2014, where he was referred to as “a terrorist”.

The suit filed at the Abia state High court holding at Ohafia, is identified as HOH/5/2014, and has Livy Uzoukwu (SAN)  as the lead counsel for the petitioner.

A Deputy-Vice Chancellor,  Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof.Charles Esimone has observed that people tend to desert Anambra state for fear of the dreaded Ebola virus disease since it was reported at the Nnewi axis of the state.

President Goodluck Jonathan says the Federal Government was negotiating for a $400m special fund from the World Bank to tackle the menace of erosion in the South East.

President Jonathan was speaking to a delegation of the South East Council of Traditional rulers.

‘We are getting $400m, a special fund from the World Bank, to tackle the erosion in the South East. This is apart from the line votes in the budget for checking erosion’, he stated.

Mister Sheriff has been accused by a certain Australian negotiator, Stephen Davis of funding  Boko Haram activities.

Chairman of Labour party Dan Nwanyanwu has denied resigning from his position. He states that the news by the media which states that he has resigned from the position of the chairman is false. He says that he only made his intentions of not going for re-election in the forth coming National Convention of the party known to the National Executive Council and National Working Committee of the party.

It is no longer an issue for speculation that the Executive Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha is eyeing the presidency. After months of calculations and interpretation of body language by political watchers, the governor in reaction to a news report (not by homeland) made a press statement.
