The Lagos state police command on Monday paraded Burna Boy's manager, Joel Kantiock alongside the armed robbers who attacked Mr 2kay at Eko Hotels.

One Omotore, 27, who is said to be the gang leader, confessed that they were the ones that carried out the attack on Mr 2kay on the instructions of Burna Boy's road manager, Joel Kantiock who told him that his boss gave the orders.

2face Idibia recently went on a twitter rant against Eedris Abdulkareem, who in recent interviews berated the quality of music being released, slammed Bobrisky and asked 2face to show love to Blackface 'because he made him who he is today'.

2face in his reply urged Eedris to make music himself and stop talking nonsense all the time.

I have had the privilege of reporting and observing elections in Anambra state a number of times, from the stand point of a neutral. Though my neutrality may be called to question as one who not only have my roots in state, but as an individual who will always attempt to air my objective view. But on the grounds of belonging to any political party, I stand without blemish. 

As it is in many spheres of life, what one considers to be objective in politics, may be the most biased and dented opinion to another.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan recently marked his 60th birthday. One of the guest was Bayelsa born popular musician, Timi Dakolo who shared pictures with the Jonathans.

The former first lady looked so relaxed and taken-care-of, despite series of corruption allegations level against her and attendant court cases. 

The ex-President has not failed many of his admirers with his steady positive disposition.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has expressed surprise and shock over the sudden burial of the 26 African girls drowned in the Mediterranean Sea by Italian authorities 9 days ahead of the slated date.

The Italian Embassy earlier indicated to the DG NAPTIP that the burial will take place in Salerno, Italy on Nov. 26, 2017, but however went ahead with the burial on November, 17th 2017.

Reactions have continued to trail the conduct and results of the just concluded Anambra State Governorship poll

While congratulating the people of Anambra State for the peaceful outcome of the election, the leadership o the Nigeria Labour Congress also  commended the INEC for a hitch conduct of the poll

Statement signed by the President of the NLC, Ayuba Wabba  said in spite of initial glitches, especially at its early stage the election has been adjudged to be substantially peaceful, transparent, credible, fair and a representation of the wishes of the electorate.

The  National Bureau of Statistics on Monday said Nigeria’s economic growth accelerated in the third quarter as oil output increased.

Oil production increased to 2.03m barrels a day in the third quarter from a revised 1.87m barrels a day.

The crude sector contributed 10.04% to real GDP.

The gross domestic product expanded 1.4% in the 3 months through September from a year earlier, compared with a revised 0.72%  in the 2nd quarter.

President Muhammadu Buhari has directed governors and state chief judges to release prisoners who are unnecessarily detained as part of reforms in judiciary.

The president said in Abuja on Monday that he gave the directive to the states last month and explained that over-crowding prisons and some other noticeable problems in judiciary have caused loss of confidence in the system.

Buhari spoke at the opening of the 2017 All Nigerian Judges’ Conference of Superior Courts, in Abuja.

Former Minister of Finance, Dr. Kalu Idika Kalu was robbed of cash and valuables worth about N10m after being drugged by his chef, Peter Odion.

Peter Odion who allegedly put some sedatives into a cup of coffee he served the minister on Wednesday morning was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for his involvement in the robbery of his boss.

Odion was said to have led others into his boss' apartment after he (Kalu Idika) slept off leading to the robberry where the sum of N750,000, a Blackberry phone, a Samsung phone and other valuables worth N10m were stolen.

Notorous terror group, Boko Haram have beheaded six farmers in the Mafa Local Government Area of Borno state on Sunday.

The killing reportedly occured in the Dimge plantation while the farmers worked on their farms. 

According to Jiddah Ahmad, an eye witness who spoke with a NAN correspondent, the insurgents abducted six farmers who were working on their farms and slaugthered them in a nearby bush.
