The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has commenced the National Identity Number enrolment for foreign diplomats in Nigeria.

A statement by NIMC’S Head of Corporate Communications reveals that the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy gave the directive to set up an enrolment center at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja in a bid to ensure seamless enrolment of all diplomats in the country for the purpose of the ongoing NIN-SIM linkage and other exigencies.

The Commission assures members of the public that all hands are on deck to ensure the enrolment of all Nigerians and legal residents into the National Identity Database.

Deadline remains February 9th for those yet to enrol, while deadline for persons yet to link NIN with their SIM cards have until February 19.
