President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Ankara, capital of Turkey ahead of 5 days of activities that will include an official visit and his attending the summit of the Group of 8 Developing countries, the D-8.

The President's plane, the Nigeria Airforce 001, touched down at the Presidential wing of the Ankara International airport at about 8.20pm local time.

His activities on Thursday will start with the laying of a wreath at the mausoleum of the founder of Modern Turkey, Murtafa Kemal Ataturk.

The President, who is accompanied on the trip by his wife and 2 children, among a few government officials, will proceed then to Presidential palace where several bilateral agreements will be signed between Nigeria and Turkey

He is also expected to visit the parliament later in the day

President Buhari will attend the D-8 summit on Friday where he is expected to present the country's statement.
