A train heading to Ebutte Metta, Lagos from Ijoko area of Ogun State derailed at Mangoro, Agege Lagos around 7am today.

It has been reported that 3 couches were affected leaving several people injured but no life was lost.

In a statement by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, it was stated that the train derailed as a result of faulty 
tracks which have been earlier reported by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority in the area and noted for repairs.

Efforts are currently being made to evacuate the derailed couches while the injured victims were rushed to a nearby hospital
for treatment.
