The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested the former governor of Imo state, Ikedi Ohakim. He was picked up at his Abuja residence on Thursday. 

HOMELAND NEWS learnt that the former governor failed to honour a previous invitation by the anti-graft agency. Operative who had monitored the former governor swooped on him at about 10am and took him away in an unmarked car to the EFCC headquarters located at the Maitama district in the Nation’s capital.

As at the time of publishing the story, there is no clear information on the specific allegations against the former governor

While Mr. Ohakim is waiting for his interrogation to commence later on Thursday, former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido is answering questions over an alleged N1.3bn graft he received from a government contractor through companies operated by his son.
