Following the surprise exit of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar from the All Progressives Congress, Kaduna state Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has described the exit as a good one for the APC

Speaking with State Gouse Correspondents after observing Jumaat with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, El-Rufai stressed that although they already knew Atiku would leave in December, his decision to leave earlier is a welcome development.

According to El-Rufai, if given the Presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party, the former Vice President will not be a threat to President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 presidential election.

El-Rufai described the former Vice-President as a serial defector who will not enjoy the followership of any governor in his decision to leave the APC
