Leader of the APC, Bola Tinubu is in Ilorin, Ondo state to condole with the family  of Olufunke Olakurin, who was killed on Saturday by yet to be identified gunmen, 

Tinubu was accompanied by former governor of Osun state, Bisi Akande,  Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and his deputy to the home of the deceased father, Reuben Fasoranti, who is the leader of Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Afenifere.

He said there is the need to deploy more security men on the nation's highways and cautioned politicians not  to politicise the killing. 

Tinubu's visit came less than two hours after the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, visited the 94-year-old statesman. 

The Vice President had said that "the Federal Government would explore all options, including deploying soldiers on the highways, towards addressing the growing cases of security challenges in Nigeria."

The home of the Fasoranti's have seen numerouse visitors since the death of one of their own, Funke Olakurin, was announced on Saturday. 

First reports about the murder alleged it was carried out by herdsmen but it has since been shown that the allegations were made before any form of investigation began. Meanwhile, Police say it will surely apprehend the killers.
