At a demonstration by the newly inducted Special Forces into the ‘Operation Safe Haven’ at Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai charged them to aggressively deal with all criminal activities in the state.

He stated that the indiscriminate abduction and killing of innocent citizens shall not be tolerated any longer, he also said they are not to protect any ethnic or religious group but they have to be professional and combat ready bearing in mind that Security still remains a major challenge in Plateau state.

The Army chief said that a lot of killings are still ongoing in the remote areas so the troops are directed to penetrate those areas and aggressively deal with the criminals.

Reminding them that people are waylaid on the roads, abducted and sometimes get killed which is unacceptable, he charged them not to give chance to the criminals as doing that will bring nothing but regret to all.
