An unidentified gunmen have killed a police inspector attached to Isua divisional police office in Akoko  South-East Local Government of Ondo  state in the early hours of Monday August 5.

The deceased  police inspector  was accompanied by another police sergeant who narrowly escaped death.

The policemen were ambushed along Ise-Akoko-Isua road a border town of Kogi and Edo state while on official assignment.

Police spokesperson,  Femi Joseph confirmed the incident, saying the police have launched a man hunt  for the killers and will make sure that the perpetrators are brought to book as soon as possible.
