Attempts by members of the proscribed Islamic Movement in Nigeria to stage a religious procession in Abuja did not quite succeed as the tight police security forced the Shi'ites gathering  to disperse.

They were massing up at the city gate but had to back down.

Meanwhile, reports emerged earlier that 3 IMN members were killed in Kaduna during the Ashura procession, however, the spokesman of the command, DSP Yakubu Sabo said the claim was a blatant lie.
