Striker Odion Ighalo earns a recall to the squad after missing the last match to attend the burial of his father while Chelsea’s Victor Moses gets another chance to impress the coach after pulling out of the last squad through injury.

Rio 2016 hero Etebo Oghenekaro gets a first chance to impress the new coach, alongside Israel based John Ogu.

The Eagles who were placed in a tough group which also includes two former African Champions, Zambia and Cameroon, started off on a good note with 2-1 victory in Zambia.
