Spanish Football Federation has sacked the coach of the National Team, Julen Lopetegui, who was recently announced as the new coach for Spanish club, Real Madrid.

President of the SFF, Luis Rubiales, said in a press conference that the Association got to know that Lopetegui will be leaving the national team at the end of the world cup, just five minutes before it was announced by Real Madrid. 

"We have been forced to dispense with the national coach. We wish you the greatest of luck. The negotiation has occurred without any information to the RFEF. Just five minutes before the press release. There's a way to act that needs to be fulfilled" said Rubiales.

Real Madrid was without coach after winning the UEFA Champions for a record three consecutive times.  Coach Zinedine Zidane, who let the club to achieve the feat, resigned few days after the final match.

It is yet to be seen how the recent development will affect the Spanish national team which are already in Russia for the world cup which begins two days away.
