The 22-year-old winger, joined the Everton before the  2017-18 season for a reported fee of  £7.5m after he scored  22 goals for Eupen in the Belgian top-flight the previous season.

However, despite his undoubted talent,  Onyekuru never played in a competitive fixture for Everton, as he was immediately loaned out to Anderlecht where he scored scored 10 goals in all competitions for the Belgian side before his campaign was cut short by a knee injury.

After  recovering from the knee injury, he was again loaned out to the Turkish side Galatasaray,  where he scored 14 league goals to help his adopted team secure the Turkish league title and the Turkish cup of 2018-2019 season making him a domestic double winner  with the club.

After his tranfer to Monaco, Onyekuru wrote: "I want to thank Everton for the opportunity and making it possible for me to experience the best year of my career at Galatasaray.

"My time in Turkey was nothing short of amazing. The supporters, the club and my team-mates made me feel at home from day one."

He joins a Monaco side that have been struggling for the past two years after winning the ligue 1 title in 2016-2017 season.

Last season saw head coach Leonardo Jardim sacked for Thierry Henry after a bad start to the campaign left them in the relegation zone but was re-appointed after the Arsenal legend failed  to reverse the fortunes of the club.

Onyekuru is in line to make his first debut for the club when they travel to Metz on Saturday.

Monaco will be hoping that Onyekuru can help them  finish in a better position this season.
