Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is concerned that Daniel James could suffer from burnout at Manchester United, according to reports.

The 21-year-old has impressed since his £18 million move from Swansea City in the summer with three goals and three assists so far.

James has already made 15 appearances for United this season, playing 895 minutes in the Premier League and has featured in two Europa League matches.

But The Sun reports that Solskjaer ‘fears’ that the Wales international could begin to suffer from fatigue and is planning to rest the winger.

‘Nobody can question Daniel’s attitude or fitness, but he has to be taken care of,’ a source at United told The Sun.
‘We don’t want to see him sidelined with an injury due to fatigue.

‘Ole is just making his mind up when to order him to put his feet up.’

United host Partizan Belgrade in the Europa League on Thursday evening and a win would all but secure their place in the next round of the competition.

After that, Solskjaer’s men will then turn their attention to the Premier League as they face Brighton at Old Trafford on Sunday.
