Egypt has been announced as the host of the 2019 African cup of nations which will hold between June 15 and July 13 after Cameroon was stripped of the hosting right due to delay and slow pace of event preparations.

This was announced by Confederation of African Football (CAF) president Ahmed Ahmed in Dakar on Tuesday after Egypt 
received more votes from the executive committee than South Africa. 

This will be the fourth time the event will take place in Egypt after hosting in 1974,1986 and 2006

The Nigeria Football Federation has given a nod to the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna to host the Africa Nations Cup qualifier between Nigeria and Egypt on the 26th of March.

The NFF delegation led by its General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi, explained that Kaduna is okay, but they would have to pay follow-up visits before the match is played to ensure that it is in perfect condition.

But at the main bowl, the visitors expressed dissatisfaction with the grass on the pitch, instructing the Stadium Manager, Gideon Malo to ensure that it is attended to.
