US Democrats began the process Monday of impeaching President Donald Trump for a historic second time, accusing him of “incitement of insurrection” over his supporters’ deadly storming of the US Capitol.

The move — which threatens to torpedo the single-term president’s future political ambitions — could make for a frenetic culmination of four years of controversy ahead of Joe Biden’s January 20 inauguration.

The workers unions of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, on Monday locked all the entrances leading into the institution thereby disrupting the resumption of the institution for academic activities after the Christmas break.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the workers unions comprise the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics and the Non Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics.

Members of the school management, officials and students were not allowed entry into the school premises thereby stalling the scheduled examinations slated to start today.

The Lagos State Government says arrangements are concluded to begin the reconstruction of the  Epe/Ibeju-Lekki expressway on Nov. 1.

Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu disclosed this during the Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA) constituency stakeholders’ meeting held in Epe, on Thursday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that this year’s stakeholders’ meeting is with the theme: Post COVID-19 Pandemic; The Challenges and Prospects.

The governor was represented by Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun, the Oloja of Epeland.
