THE WILL, an online news platform reports that Radio Biafra, mouthpiece of the Indigenous People of Biafra, returned to the airwaves on Sunday with a shocking announcement of the sack of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as IPOB leader.

The announcement, according to the report, triggered concerns among security agencies because it could mean that another arm of IPOB may have mutated just as IPOB mutated from Raph Uwazuruike’s Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB).

The build-up to the November 18 Anambra Governorship elections is getting tense as the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB) have issued new threats to those who will vote in the elections.

The proscribed group threatened to kill nyone who goes out to vote in the elections. They also vowed to disrupt the elections process.The group, during their march in some streets in Onitsha, Anambra state shouted at people saying "If you vote you will die. Don't go out, stay in your house. If you vote on November 18, you will die. We are not running around for the zoo.

A pro-Biafra group, the Biafra Zionists Federation, has blamed a former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon  for  the civil war that started in 1967.

The BZF leader, Benjamin Onwuka, who expressed the view in a statement said Gowon caused the war.

Onwuka was reacting to Gowon’s recent claims that the leader of the defunct Republic of Biafra, the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu -Ojukwu, caused the war, which reportedly claimed over three million lives.
