The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps  Command in Anambra State has arrested a 34- year old woman, Mrs Nkeoma, for alleged human trafficking.

Mr David Bille, the state NSCDC Commandant, disclosed this during a media briefing on Saturday in Awka.

Mr Billie said, Nkeoma, a restaurant owner at Agulu Ezechukwu Community in Aguata Local Government Area of the state was arrested on November 5, at Agulu Ezechukwu, while perfecting plans to move her victims outside Nigeria.

The Lagos state police command has arrested 30-year-old Chukwunonso Blessing for child trafficking.

In a statement by the command PPRO Bala elkana said, "On 31th of october at about 2030hrs, acting on credible information, detectives from Ojo Division led by the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Abdullah Malah arrested one Chukwunonso Blessing 30yrs of No 23 Masebinu Street, Igbede, Ojo area of Lagos".

 The Akwa Ibom Police Command has arrested a child trafficking syndicate and a woman for allegedly buying a 2-month-old baby for N450,000.

The suspected traffickers were paraded to journalists on Saturday, October 22, at the state police headquarters in Uyo. Those paraded included a homeopathic doctor, Eneyo Nyang, who is accused of running the baby factory, two teenage girls and a twenty-four year- old mother Comfort Effiong, who had sold her two-month old baby to a 51-year-old woman, Rose Edward for N450,000.
