Kwara Government says 37 more people have tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total of confirmed cases in the state to 1,496.

Mr Rafiu Ajakaye, the Chief Press Secretary to Kwara Governor and Spokesman for the Technical Committee on COVID-19, made this known in a statement on Wednesday.

According him, this brings the total of confirmed cases to 1,496 with 1, 281 patients discharged and 32 death recorded in the state.

Manchester City confirmed three more cases of coronavirus on Wednesday, with goalkeeper Scott Carson, teenage midfielder Cole Palmer and a member of staff testing positive.

City were without six other players for their Premier League victory at Chelsea on Sunday following positive tests.

“Manchester City FC can confirm that Scott Carson, Cole Palmer and one member of staff have tested positive for Covid-19,” the club said in a statement.

The Federal Capital Territory Administration has announced the death of one coronavirus patient in Abuja.
The FCTA made this known in a tweet via its Twitter account on Thursday.

According to the FCTA, 155 new cases of the virus was also reported with a total of 647 discharged patients.
“155 new cases, 1 death, 647 discharged in the FCT.

“Total number of confirmed cases: 11,588.

“Total number of active cases: 3951.

“7535 patients have been discharged with 102 deaths recorded.
