Reactions have continued to trail the killing of hundreds of members of the Shiite movement in Zaria on Sunday by soldiers from the Nigerian Army following a clash between the solders and the movement on Saturday.

It was reported that the convoy of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai was obstructed by members of the sect who were on a procession in Zaria. Despite plea from officers on the COAS entourage, the procession did not leave the road.
