The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons has declared a certain Perebi Nicole Otubo wanted.

Nicole Otubo is suspected to have links to an international human trafficking ring  that is responsible for the trafficking of young girls from Nigeria to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and United Arab Emirate for sexual exploitation.

The suspect, a native of Bomadi in Delta state was born on the 9th of December 1984.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has expressed surprise and shock over the sudden burial of the 26 African girls drowned in the Mediterranean Sea by Italian authorities 9 days ahead of the slated date.

The Italian Embassy earlier indicated to the DG NAPTIP that the burial will take place in Salerno, Italy on Nov. 26, 2017, but however went ahead with the burial on November, 17th 2017.

Austrian police have arrested two Nigerian nationals on suspicion of human trafficking while alleging the use of voodoo rituals to force women into prostitution.

The two suspects – one male one female, are considered leading members of a criminal organization – were arrested by Austrian authorities in Vienna, and accused of engaging in the international sex trade.

Police spokesman Johann Baumschlager said Tuesday that at least 10 young Nigerian women were forced into the sex trade in part by “a voodoo priest, who made them submissive through certain rites.”
