The new JAMB cut off mark has nothing to do with educational standard. It's all about exploitation, says Obi Trice Emeka on his facebook wall

He alleged that the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, has bowed to the greed of the Vice Chancellor of Nigerian Universities. 

According to him, "the plan is simple: re-introduce P-UTME but make the fee low and for them to make more revenue while charging lower fees they have to increase the numbers.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB has blacklisted 48 Computer-Based Test centres over their alleged involvement in extortion and organised examination malpractices during the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

A statement issued by the Board said more than 24 Computer Based Test centres were also suspended for one year.

Registrar of the Board, Ishaq Oloyede disclosed this after meeting with Chief External Examiners and Stakeholders on the conduct of the 2017 UTME in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.‎

The Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB), Nigeria is set to commence sale of the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) forms on March 20.

This was posted on the examination board’s twitter handle @JAMBHQ on monday.
It said the form will be on sale till Wednesday 19th, April,2017.

According to the post, the UTME fee costs N5,500 which includes registration fees, reading text, syllabus and brochure.

“JAMB to begin sale of 2017 application on Monday 20th March,2017 to Wednesday 19th April,2017.
