Putting a crown on a masterstroke, President Muhammadu Buhari has tendered an unreserved apology on behalf of the Nigerian people and Government to the family of the Late Moshood Kashimawo Abiola and other key actors of the June twelve struggle. 

President Buhari who spoke at the investiture ceremony conferring special  National honours on the late MKO Abiola,his running mate Babagana Kingibe and the late Gani Fawehinmi, 

He said the awards were not aimed at opening old wounds but were an attempt by government to right the wrongs of the past

Abia State Governor, Chief Theodore Orji has dedicated the National Honours Award of Commander Order of the Niger conferred on him by President Goodluck Jonathan to the people of the state. Following their support to the  policies and programmes of his administration.

Gov Orji who stated this while addressing Abia Stakeholders who paid him homage at the Governor's Lodge, Abuja, shortly after the award ceremony, said he would not have accomplished much to qualify for such national honour if not for the support of the people.
