The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 56  new infections of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country.

The NCDC made this known via its verified website on Monday. It said that the infections brought the total number of cases in the country to 66,439.

The NCDC said that the new infections were from nine states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The public health agency also announced that 165 patients were discharged from isolation centres across the country.

Nigeria has recorded 155 new cases of the novel Coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 66,383.

Announcing the new figures in a late night tweet on Sunday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed that the country also recorded one COVID-19 related death in the last 24 hours under review.

The Health Agency said, the new cases were reported from 12 states including the Federal Capital Territory FCT.

According to the NCDC, of the new cases, 60 were recorded in Lagos, 37 in Katsina and 35 in Kaduna state.

Nigeria has recorded 143 new cases of the novel Coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 65,982.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this in a late tweet on Friday.

The Health Agency said the new cases were recorded in ten states including the Federal Capital Territory FCT.

According to the NCDC of the new cases, 70 were recorded in Lagos, Kaduna-25 FCT-22 Ogun-11 Plateau-4 Oyo-4 Ekiti-3 Osun-2 Edo-1 Kano-1.
