…says Oyo Govt’ll continue to support Army
 
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Thursday, declared that the level of professionalism and nationalism being displayed by the Nigerian Army while on election and other political assignments within the country, showed that there is still hope for the country.

The Oyo State Task Force on COVID-19 says a total of 72 positive COVID-19 cases were recorded in the state on Friday.

The task force, in a statement issued on Saturday by Mr. Taiwo Adisa, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Seyi Makinde, said 59 out of the 72 cases were recorded in a company based in Ibadan.

Although it did not disclosed the identity of the affected company, the task force said that the remaining 13 cases were from the community testing efforts.

Oyo Government says it will soon begin registration of all travel agencies in the state to curtail the spate of human trafficking being perpetrated by illegal agencies who take advantage of vulnerable Nigerians.

Mrs Bolanle Sarumi-Aliyu, the Senior Special Assistant to the State governor on diaspora matters, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Abuja.

According to her, ” in Oyo state very soon, we are going to make sure no travel agency, no job agency that takes people abroad will do that until they have been registered by us.
