The Senate has announced that it would probe alleged feud among Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Department of State Services and National Intelligence Agency over operational issues.

The face-off was said to have stemmed from EFCC’s attempted arrest of former directors-general of DSS, Ita Ekpeyong and NIA's, Ayodele Oke.

The senate said it would set up an ad hoc committee to investigate the matter within two weeks.

The Senate has  changed its mind on the continued suspension of former Senate leader, Ali Ndume; and has announced that  the Borno South senator can resume on Wednesday.

Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, who presided over the plenary today, Tuesday, made the announcement after an executive session.

The move according to Sen. Ekweremadu is “without prejudice to the case pending in court.”

It will be recalled that Senator Ndume was a close ally of the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, until 6 months ago, when they fell apart.
