The Nigerian Army has confirmed the death of three soldiers during a repel mission against the Boko Haram terror group on Saturday evening.

According to reports, the group had unleashed an attack on Magumeri town in Borno state destroying a clinic, mosque and shops in the town leaving a 5-year-old boy dead from stray bullet and others injured.

President Muhammadu Buhari has described the early Tuesday morning suicide bomb blast in a mosque in Mubi, Adamawa State as “very cruel and dastardly.”

President Buhari, while commiserating with families of the several victims, government and people of the state, assured that government would do everything required to secure the state from the deadly menace of Boko Haram.

The President enjoined the people in the entire North-east to be more vigilant and report suspicious persons to security agencies in order to avert further attacks on soft targets by the terrorist group.

At least 30 persons have been killed after a suicide bomber detonated his explosive at a mosque in Mubi, Adamawa State, during morning prayers. 

According to the Adamawa State Police Command,  the suicide attack occurred around 5:20am local time, at Kunu Araha, a suburb in Mubi North.

It was allegedly triggered by a yet to be identified teenage boy who set off the suicide vest he was wearing.

Adamawa police spokesman, Othman Abubakar, who confirmed the incident, said more than 30 persons lost their lives in the dawn Mosque attack.
