Ministry of Education says all Universities must conclude all admission processes on or before the 31st of October.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, McJohn Nwaoibala stated this on Tuesday after announcing the 2015 cut-off mark for admission into degree, national diploma, and certificate in education programmes.
“We need to make hay while the sun shines. All admissions processes should be concluded on or before 31st of October 2015,”he said.
Mr. Nwaoibala said the institutions have been mandated to implement the Federal Government directive on 60:40 sciences to arts ratio and the 70:30 technology to non-technology ratio.
The Chairman of the governing council of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, Peter Eze, commended the transition from paper and pencil test to the computer based test being carried out by JAMB as a way of conducting its examinations.
He commended the process which he said has changed the face of public examination in the country.
“We can be counted as one of the top 10 in the world as far as conducting public exams is concerned,” he said.
