An Abeokuta High Court sitting at Isabo has sentenced a 26-year-old house help, David Idah, to death by hanging for the murder of a retired Senior Magistrate, Mrs Olufunmilayo Timeyin
The convict had on March 28th, 2014 killed his 65-year-old former Boss at her residence in Laderin Housing Estate, Abeokuta; he inflicted severe machete cuts before slaughtering her
The culprit, David Idah, an Igede indigene from Benue State, house help of the late senior Magistrate until he was sacked based on allegation of stealing
Delivering the judgement, Justice Abiodun Akinyemi of the Ogun State High Court noted that the accused is guilty as charged; he therefore sentenced him to death by hanging.
