Mr. Patrick Ziakede Akpobolokemi has been relieved of his duty as the Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency.
This was announced through a statement made available to newsmen by President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina.
Mr. Akpobolokemi is directed to hand over to the most senior officer in the agency the management of the agency and all government property in his care. The person will hold the office until a new Director-General is named.
No reason was given for his removal.
