Out of 6 state governors on President Muhammadu Buhari’s entourage to Cameroon, 3 are members of the PDP. President Buhari will be out of the country for a two day visit to the country’s neighbour for talks over the effort to check the menace of Boko Haram.
Governors Kashim Shettima of Borno, Mohammed Bindow of Adamawa and Samuel Otorm of Benue are members of the President’s APC. While Ben Ayade of Cross River, Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom and Darius Ishaku of Taraba belong to the opposition PDP.
Permanents Secretary in the Ministry of Defence and the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency are also part of the team.
While on the visit, President Buhari will be holding talks the Cameroonian President, Paul Biya and other senior government officials.
The leaders will be discussing issue around the full activation and deployment of the Multinational Task Force against Boko Haram.
Before returning on Thursday, President Buhari will take time out to meet with Nigerian citizens resident in Cameroon.
