The department of State Security Services, Imo state command has arrested a notorious kidnap Kingpin, 28 years old Henry Chibueze, also known as Vampire.
Parading the suspect at their office in Owerri, the Imo state capital before Governor Rochas Okorocha, the state director of the DSS said that the suspect had long been on their wanted list following his criminal and violent crimes within and around the state.
Narrating how the trans- border kidnapper was arrested, the DSS boss said that they trailed him to Ohafia in Abia state where he was receiving treatment following gunshot wounds he sustained during a duel with men of the service.
The secret service boss said his men swung into action following a tip off that Vampire was set to carry out the kidnapping of some court judges who lodged in one of the hotels in Owerri.
Also arrested is his personal herbalist and one army deserter, Hakeem who allegedly absconded from duty in faraway Borno state and uses his military identity card and uniform to pave ways for his partner to perpetuate his heinous crimes.
Answering questions from Governor Okorocha, Vampire confessed to being the brain behind many kidnapping in the state and how he murdered his girlfriend.
Governor Okorocha who commended the men of the DSS, also tasked them to go after 2 other members of the gang still at large.
