Nigeria has recorded 189 new cases of the novel Coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 57,145.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) disclosed this in a late night tweet on Saturday.
The Health Agency also disclosed that the country reported one new COVID-19 related death in the last 24 hours under review.
The new cases were reported from 15 states including the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
According to NCDC, of the new 189 cases, 70 were recorded in Lagos, 37 in Plateau, 24 in FCT and 19 in Kaduna state.
Other states with new infections include, Rivers-12 Oyo-5 Ogun-4 Ebonyi-3 Katsina-3 Ondo-3 Osun-3 Imo-2 Yobe-2 Ekiti-1 Nasarawa-1.
NCDC said till date, 57,145 have been confirmed, 48,431 treated and discharged and 1,095 deaths recorded in 36 states and the FCT.
