The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 126 new cases of the new novel Coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 58,324.
Announcing the new figures in a late night tweet on Sunday, the Health Agency disclosed that the country also recorded two new COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours under review.
The new cases were reported from 12 states including the Federal Capital Territoty, FCT.
According to the NCDC, of the new cases,30 were recorded in FCT, 24 in Lagos, 23 in Ogun and 13 in Katsina.
Other states with new cases include, -9 Plateau-9 Ondo-6 Kaduna-4 Kwara-4 Imo-2 Bauchi-1 Edo-1.
NCDC said till date, 58,324 infections have been confirmed, 49,794 treated and discharged and 1,108 deaths reported in 36 states and the FCT.
