Not less than 45 people have been killed as a female suicide bomber attacked a section of the Sabon Gari market in Damboa local government area of Borno State. The incident which occurred around 1pm targeted the cow section of the market.
A member of the civilian JTF told Reuters that over “47 dead persons have been removed from the market.” The market is said to be quite busy when the attack occurred.
Another unnamed source from the military told the news agency that around 50 people had been killed.
Just last week, suspected Boko Haram killed 4 people and injured 3 in an ambush in the same village.
