Nigeria has recorded 118 new cases of the novel Coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 59,583.
Announcing the new figures in a late night tweet on Tuesday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed that no COVID-19 related death was recorded in the last 24 hours.
The Health Agency said the new cases were reported from 14 states excluding the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
According to NCDC, of the new cases, 41 were recorded in Lagos, 19 in Rivers, 17 in Osun and 13 in Nasarawa.
Other states with new cases include, Kaduna-5 Anambra-5 Edo-3 Ogun-3 Kwara-3 Ondo-3 Katsina-2 Niger-2 Plateau-1 Akwa Ibom-1.
NCDC said till date, 59,583 cases have been confirmed, 51,308 treated and discharged, and 1,113 deaths recorded in 36 states and the FCT.
