Nigeria has recorded 225 new cases of the novel Cornavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 60,655.
Announcing the new figures in a late night tweet on Tuesday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed that the country also recorded one COVID-19 related death in the last 24 hours under review.
The new cases were reported from 11 states including the Federal Capital Territory FCT.
According to the Health Agency, of the new cases, 165 were recorded in Lagos, 17 in FCT and 13 in Rivers State.
Other state with new cases include, Ogun-12 Niger-8 Delta-4 Ondo-2 Anambra-1 Edo-1 Ekiti-1 Kaduna-1.
The NCDC said till date, 60,655 have been confirmed, 52,006 treated and discharged and 1,116 deaths reported in 36 states and the FCT.
