Nigeria has recorded 48 new cases of the novel Coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country 61,930.
Announcing the new figures in a late night tweet on Saturday, The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) also disclosed that the was no COVID-19 related death recorded in the last 24 hours under review.
According to Health Agency, the new cases were reported from six states including the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
NCDC said, of the new cases, 18 were recorded in Lagos, FCT-13 Kaduna-6 Rivers-5 Ogun-5 and Ondo-1.
The Agency said till date, 61930 cases have been confirmed, 57285 cases treated and discharged and 1129 deaths recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), have been activated at Level 3, to continues to coordinate the national response activities across the country, the Agency said.
